
Gen AI to ‘Transform Work’ at City of Casey but Cost and Capacity Still a Challenge

Allsop, the CIO at one of Victoria’s largest municipalities serving over 415,000 people, tells ADAPT that the council is using AI to compose and summarise information, arrange schedules and assist in software code.
Despite the prohibitive costs and capacity constraints within IT and across the organisation, Allsop believes the technology will have a significant impact over time.
City of Casey faces challenges similar to those of many organisations regarding the widespread use of AI.
