Chemist Warehouse’s CISO, Nigel Hedges, has joined ‘mini tribes’ of execs that have met up since the pandemic to share their approaches to dealing with cyber challenges.

In this interview with ADAPT, Hedges says it was a survival mechanism to “stay sane” at a time when cyber chiefs had to deal with the challenges of providing secure computing for staff who were working remotely.

“That was helpful because cyber wasn’t a competitive advantage, it was a common problem that we all had to solve. I noticed exiting the pandemic that this tribe mentality has certainly continued, and we are seeing a lot more people meet up and have really good, robust discussions…I always get a lot of value out of that,” he says.
