Stuart is an energy and environmental market specialist with extensive experience in engineering, commercialisation, investment, regulation, reform, market design and policy, initially in the reform of UK energy markets and subsequently the energy and environmental markets of Australia and the Asia Pacific Region.

As a policy advisor, Stuart was instrumental in the formulation of the Emissions Reduction Fund, which introduced a predictable carbon price into the Australian economy and a flow of investment into the sector. He subsequently led the Climate Change Authority (CCA) providing policy advice to Australia’s Federal Government.

As well as chairing the CCA, Stuart co-founded and led a digital cleantech business to an ASX listing in 2017, before joining StartupBootcamp, a global innovation and technology investment business, as Energy Transition Partner.
