About Nathan

Nathan brings over 20 years of nursing and healthcare leadership expertise to his advisory role. As the co-founder of Frameless Interactive and former Chief Nursing Information Officer for Western Sydney Local Health District, he possesses deep knowledge in clinical informatics and healthcare technology. Nathan’s background includes critical care nursing and a decade of experience in clinical education and simulation-based learning, supported by a Master’s degree in Adult Education. 

Currently completing a PhD focused on the design and development of virtual reality for clinician education, Nathan is exploring the commercialisation of innovative training applications leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Virtual reality. He is actively involved in the entrepreneurial start-up ecosystem, having contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented extensively both locally and internationally. Nathan serves on the editorial boards of several international journals and is a CHIA certified Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Digital Health. Additionally, he sits on the Digital Health Leadership advisory board for the Australian College of Nursing.

Clinical Informatics: Nathan possesses extensive experience in all aspects of digital health, from technical specification requirements to practical deployment considerations. 

Extended reality technologies (VR/AR/MR): Nathan is highly regarded as a researcher and entrepreneur in the extended reality space. Having designed, developed, deployed, and commercialised numerous applications leveraging these technologies, he is able to advise in great detail on the challenges and possibilities they present. 

Artificial Intelligence: Nathan has leveraged AI in numerous projects across various settings. He can provide guidance on how AI could be incorporated into workflows and the associated risks and opportunities. 

Education: With almost a decade spent in adult education, developing and delivering content, Nathan leverages multiple modalities to meet a variety of use cases. He can advise on the best approaches to education to ensure learners can achieve their goals effectively.
