EdgeRed: From Analytics Roots to AI Innovators

In this community interview, Howard Gu and Monica Ly, Co-Founder’s at EdgeRed share their journey in data analytics, starting their careers at Quantium where they met, and then moving on to found EdgeRed. Their decision to start their own business was fuelled by a desire to solve real-world problems with data, taking a leap in 2018 and quickly growing to a team of almost 50 employees. They focus on practical data solutions, providing comprehensive services from data engineering to AI.

Monica and Howard emphasise the importance of using technology to solve specific business problems rather than adopting new tech for its own sake. They see many companies getting caught up in the hype of AI without a clear understanding of its purpose. At EdgeRed, they strive to address clients’ needs by focusing on fundamental business problems and applying the right technology solutions, advocating for a practical, problem-first approach.
