Andrew Dell

Andrew has had an extensive career in information and cyber security, spanning over 30 years.  Initially, Andrew managed security risk for complex military deployments, which paved the way to leading cyber policy and operational planning for defence initiatives both domestically and internationally.

Andrew has worked across Australia and Europe, overseeing high-security projects for governments, telecommunications companies, and law enforcement agencies. In 2010 Andrew moved the finance sector, where he held various cyber security leadership positions at National Australia Bank (NAB) before being appointed NAB’s Chief Information Security Officer in 2016.

In 2018 Andrew joined QBE Insurance as Group Chief Security Officer leading resilience and cyber security for the Group; accountable for keeping QBE safe throughout their operations worldwide (32 countries).  Most recently, In 2025 Andrew moved to Microsoft where he leads the communication and partnership between Microsoft’s internal security capability (Office of the CISO) and Strategic customer CISOs across APAC.
